Successful — but empty
You achieved what you set out to achieve. Yet the life that once motivated you no longer feels alive.
Three MountainsMethodWhere Am I?
A map for the human journey
A crisis does not mean that you are broken. You may simply have reached the peak of the mountain you were climbing.
When the old way stops working
Life crises often begin when yesterday's strengths become today's limits. The Three Mountains Method turns that confusion into a location — and that location into a next step.
You achieved what you set out to achieve. Yet the life that once motivated you no longer feels alive.
You understand your patterns. You have done the therapy, coaching or inner work. Insight is no longer creating movement.
You sense there is something meaningful for you to do, but the path is unclear and the right people are missing.
The map
We move through three great aims: from building a self, to discovering a self, to giving that self away meaningfully. Each mountain is necessary. Each has its own summit — and its own trap.
The Titan
Driven by norms, achievement and external success.
The Titan learns the rules of the world and becomes capable by following and mastering them: career, competence, status, family and achievement.
Strong, capable—and still largely living inside the Matrix.
The Individual
Driven by freedom, authenticity and personal happiness.
The Individual wakes up to themselves, questions inherited rules and searches for what is true for them.
Awake to the self—but not yet to what the self is for.
The Faithful
Driven by purpose, service and commitment to a greater cause.
The Faithful person increasingly commits life to a Cause, mission, responsibility or meaning larger than personal happiness.
No longer asking only “What do I want?” but “What am I here to fulfill?”
The six stages
You cannot skip a mountain. But you can stop mistaking the pain of transition for proof that something is wrong with you.
The complete 3MM terrain
Begin with this version. Follow the line from left to right and notice the recurring pattern: every summit reveals a limit; every descent prepares a more mature aim.

The map emerged from observation and has been refined through practice.
Across 21 years of working with people and more than 1,000 individual life stories, István kept seeing the same transitions. Different stories; the same terrain.
The first Three Mountains map was published in 2015. In the 11 years since, it has been applied and refined into a practical architecture of 3 Mountains, 6 Stages and 12 Levels.

The central insight
A crisis is often not proof that life has failed. It is evidence that an old worldview — and the patterns built upon it — can no longer take you where your life is asking you to go.

Understand what your location asks of you and identify the next timely step.

Stories from the trail
“Navigating my personal growth used to feel like wandering in the dark. The Three Mountains framework is like a spiritual Google Maps: it helps me see where I am, the terrain ahead and the goals that belong to this part of the journey.”
“I used to see my past hardships as random, painful setbacks. Seeing the journey laid out on this map helped me understand them as phases that prepared me for where I am now, and brought a new sense of peace and direction.”
“The map helped me stop setting arbitrary, surface-level goals and begin working toward steps that support real connection and growth. With the rhythm of Personal Sherpa, I found a clearer route out of procrastination and isolation.”
“I recommend this approach warmly because I received so many profound insights to carry with me. I found the encouragement to follow my intuition and the courage to be my authentic self in any situation. What truly captivated me was the authenticity—it makes a huge difference that this method is built on real, lived experience and actually works.”
“This community is a place where the quality of conversation and connection is on a level I haven't found anywhere else in the world for decades—not even when things were going well for me. Now, I finally feel equipped to take this depth of connection outward into my everyday life.”
“This isn’t just a group of people learning about a method; we operate as a team and hold each other up. I’ve forged genuine, deep friendships here, rooted in profound mutual acceptance. Since joining, I spend far less time overthinking. I step into new experiences much more easily, and I’m no longer afraid to trust my intuition.”
21 yearsYour Sherpa
“I did not develop this map from a distance. I know the terrain because I have lived it.”
For 21 years, I have worked closely with people and their life journeys. More than 1,000 individual stories revealed the repeating transitions that became the Three Mountains map, first published in 2015 and refined in practice ever since.
I am an author and entrepreneur, the creator of more than 1,000 teaching videos and two books—Út-Mutató and Az Én Útja—and the founder of Humania. More than 15,000 people have accessed my online materials. I am now building Digital Sherpa so the map can become ongoing navigation.
01Imperfection creates connection. Dropping the pose gives other people a real person to meet.
02Suffering can point toward timely change. A crisis can be the call of a future self whose life is ready to begin.
03Experience can update worldview. Other people's lived truth helps us see beyond beliefs that have become too small.

Stop wandering. Start climbing.
